'I cannot pretend to be impartial about the colours. I rejoice with the brilliant ones, and am genuinely sorry for the poor browns.'
PLACE: Istanbul, TURKEY
I believe in colours. I believe every city has its own colours, the colours that usually stay in my mind and heart, those I take home with me when I leave.
It was sunrise when I arrived in Istanbul. The warmth of the summer sun welcomed me as my excitement rushed inside, I couldn't wait to see Istanbul. As my taxi got closer to the heart of the city, I immediately knew Istanbul had the colours I love.
Days were spent to explore, taste the food, interact with people, play with the city's cats and dogs, and let myself get lost in the small streets that always lead to a sweet surprise. It's the colours that keep making me want to go back.
There was a warm feeling that the city gave me. The colour palette was soothing to my eyes and I loved it more and more as my camera started capturing Istanbul bit by bit.
These are the colours I love, my colours.
